Below it, a crimson shield with a rampant lion sits at the optical center, flanked by seated gargoyles and framed in curling antique-gold scrollwork. Corner cartouches carry ravens; side panels repeat helms, crossed swords and fleur-de-lis, and a deep burgundy border closes the perimeter with a rhythmic fleur-de-lis repeat.
